Our top TV series to watch in lockdown

Half of the world is self-isolating at home so we thought we would round up our favourite Netflix TV shows to give you something to watch other than the news!

A thrilling new short series about a captivating young woman who flees from her arranged marriage and strict Orthodox Jewish community in Williamsburg, New York to Berlin, Germany to start a new life. This is a fascinating story about rebellion, freedom and self discovery. Loosely based on Deborah Feldman’s memoir, Unorthodox: The Scandalous Rejection of My Hasidic Roots.

A funny, cringe-y but heartfelt series about an awkward teenager who starts giving sex advice to pupils at his school based on what he has learned from his sex therapist mother.

One of Netflix’s most popular series, originally called La Casa De Papel is about a random group of robbers who attempt to pull off a heist stealing 2.4 billion euros from the Royal Mint of Spain. The Spanish thriller will have you sitting on the edge of your seat wondering what on earth is coming next and will have you forgetting all about Covid-19 in a matter of minutes.

Gossip Girl meets Pretty Little Liars meets How to Get Away with Murder. A Spanish teen crime drama about three working-class pupils who are accepted into a scholarship program at a very wealthy elite private school. Elite explores the class divisions between the three working-class teenagers and their wealthy classmates. Filled with plot twists, lies, sex and murders, this series will have you grabbing the popcorn and binge watching all three series.

If you haven’t seen Tiger King, what the hell have you been doing on your own for these past 2 months?! This documentary series, 5 years in the making, follows gun-toting, egomaniac ‘Tiger King’, who owns one of the largest big cat zoos in the US, through the events leading up to his arrest for attempting to murder his rival, Carol Baskin. If that doesn’t get you on the Baskin Robbins then I don’t know what will.

Why not enjoy some Raw Press snacks whilst you are on a Netflix binge?
