Green Smoothie Bowl

Smoothie bowls are one of the best ways to pack in lots of nutrients without even realising it. I always recommend eating 10 portions of different fruit and vegetables a day, and this smoothie contains 4 of that, not to mention a whole lot of fibre which is essential for good gut health! Smoothies are also perfectly refreshing and light, which is exactly what our bodies crave during the summer. The other great thing is you can add lots of frozen fruits and veg meaning you can always make something healthy and delicious even without fresh produce.

I love topping my smoothie bowls with raw press granola, hemp seeds, fresh berries, and whatever else I fancy that day! 

Green Smoothie bowl ( serves 1) 

1 Banana

1/3 cup frozen mango

1/4 courgette

1 scoop form nutrition protein powder

2 cubes frozen spinach 

1 tbsp almond butter 

Method 

Put all the ingredients into a blender and pulse until thick and creamy. Note you may need to add a bit of liquid, but careful not to add too much otherwise it will be too thin and your toppings will sink. Pour into a bowl and top with anything you fancy! I love adding fresh fruit, nuts, seeds and granola that adds a perfect crunch!
